Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, grandmothers, aunts and other caregivers (men too!) out there!

Being a caregiver to children can be very rewarding, but it can be challenging and stressful too.  Some tips may be helpful in balancing the rewards and the stresses of being a caregiver to kids.

Here’s a link to an article on “Relishing the Joy of Motherhood” from About.com and here’s one with strategies on “How to Ease the Stress of Motherhood” from ehow.com.  Of course, while they speak to the challenges of motherhood, much of information is VERY transferable to caregivers of children in general.  You’ll find that the recommendations are very similar to the tools we suggest for folks to use for My Mental Health Day, so keep them in mind as you think about how you’ll be taking your “My Mental Health Day” with us on May 28th.
