Share Your Recommendations, Share Your Plans, Share Your Thoughts!

Some great ideas for My Mental Health Day activities are being shared at the campaign’s Facebook page and it would be great to get your recommendations and thoughts…

  • A couple of folks are planning to take a walk or a jog – do you have recommendations for mental well-being boosting routes?
  • Others have mentioned reading a good book – do you have recommendations for mental well-being boosting books folks can read?
  • How about going to the Nationals game that day, like at least one of the campaign’s fans?  You can take in the game and help MHA if you buy your tickets through this link.  Are you going to be there too?
  • There’s always skipping the prep of lunch or dinner for those who find that a chore.  You can enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants sponsoring the campaign and have a little less stress AND help MHA.  Potomac Pizza has a coupon for 10% off your order anytime in May and when you use it they’ll donate 10% to MHA.  Addie’s is donating all net proceeds from mussels orders throughout the month of May to MHA too!  Have you already participated?  Is this something you’re thinking of doing?
  • We have a few photographers among our participants – do you have inspiring photos you’d like to share now or after you take them on My Mental Health Day?  Share them on Facebook or upload them through “contact us”.
  • Or, maybe you already bought tickets to formally participate in the campaign and in addition to looking forward to the emailed tips, you are looking forward to spending My Mental Health Day checking email and Facebook to see if you’ve won the Blue Mash Golf Club Any Day membership, one of the two iPad2 with wi-fi + 3G and 64GB, a Samsung 43″ Plasma TV, a meal out at an amazing local restaurant or any one of the 25+ fantastic prizes.  Let us know which tips you like best and/or what prizes seem fun to you!
